Saved My Raw Under Eye Area, June 25, 2017

This review is from: Alpha Skin Care – Nourishing Eye Cream, with Hyaluronic Acid, Soothing Hydration for Radiant Skin| Fragrance-Free and Paraben-Free| 0.75 Ounce (Packaging May Vary) (Health and Beauty)
I now have very sensitive eyes as well as the skin under them. Most products from high-end to drugstore sting and leave my eyes swollen, red, & feeling raw. I happened across a review of this on beautypedia that appeared to be a product I should try given how cheap this is. This is a total game changer.

My eyes love it. It feels very soothing going on and absorbs well. There is no sticky residue, just soft moisturized skin. If my under eye area or lids feel a bit extra dry I’ll give them another coat or sometimes just because it feels so nice. I have used the same moisturizer for years ( Paula’s Choice Skin Balancing Gel) all over my face including under eyes & lids. Several months ago my lids & under my eyes rebelled for no apparent reason & started stinging when I applied it, just all of a sudden, totally out of the blue. I had not changed anything. My skin in that area became much too sensitive for the numerous products I tried. I still use & love the same moisturizer for my face and neck & this for my eye area & they appear to be getting along great. This has also helped with my concealer keep from sinking into my lines.

For reference I’m almost 55 & have combination acne-prone skin with oily t-zone. I do use a few expensive products that has helped fade past acne scars & a couple of sun spots on my face & helping my skin reach a balanced state. I have not found cheaper versions of those that are as effective. Menopause has wreaked havoc on my skin such as a few breakouts so I’m trying to address those issues as well as anti-aging. I have spent many hours researching and reading reviews of so many products. The Alpha SkinCare brand has a few great gems. I love you get .75oz vs .5 in all the other brands of under eye skincare and not charge $100.

For my basic skincare needs I have used Paula’s Choice products for years with great success.

This product and a couple of others have helped balance the cost of my growing skincare needs somewhat. I hope to get my skin in pretty good shape and put off expensive lazer treatments or whatever as long possible. I have no expectations of flawless skin, although that would be nice. I just want to get these problems under control before they get worse.

I’ve been using this cream for several months now and can really see a difference in my upper lip area. Before the skin was puckered and beginning to get lines, I’m 53 but have been noticing problems for at least 3 years, but now it’s nice and smooth. I used to have to keep my foundation and powder away from the upper lip area because it just sat on the surface and never looked good, but since I’ve been using this cream that skin is as healthy as the rest of my face. I also use the Alpha Hydrox Nourishing Cleanser, AHA Souffle and Night Replenishing Cream and I’m very happy with the line but if I was to pick a favorite this would be it.
